Introduction
The Jury is a body appointed to ensure compliance with the Rules of the 33rd America’s Cup, and to resolve disputes. The Jury is composed of five esteemed members, each of whom has a distinguished background in sport, sailing, law or arbitration. The Jury is the only body to whom competitors can make an appeal or protest when they feel a Rule has been infringed. It is the role of Jury to resolve disputes, assign penalties (financial or sporting) and recover costs.
The Rules of Procedure for the Jury is a document that outlines how the Jury works, and is a governing document for the conduct of the Jury.
Jury Notices are communications from the Jury, giving instructions or information to competitors. Most, but not every Jury Notice, will be made public on this site, as some may contain sensitive information.
Jury Decisions are documents outlining final decisions by the Jury, and include background, facts found, relevant Rules, a decision or verdict, the penalty and an assignation of costs. All Jury Decisions are public.
